If you forget your Railcard and travel on a Northern service and our conductor or revenue team have advised you need to purchase another ticket in order to travel we know this can be frustrating. The conditions of travel stipulate that the Railcard must be carried by the customer in order for the ticket to be valid.
We know how it easy it can be to forget or miss place your Railcard, So we offer customers who have been asked to purchase a new ticket or to pay an excess on existing ticket on board our services, at our ticket offices or by our revenue team a refund.
In order to obtain a refund we will need to see the following:
- An Image of the original ticket purchased
- An Image of a valid Railcard
- An Image of the new ticket purchased or the excess fare receipt.
