If you purchased your season ticket via the Northern website you need to follow the instructions below in order to obtain a refund.
I have a paper educational season ticket purchased off the Northern Website.
A refund will be provided based on date that the season ticket is surrendered and the tickets expiry date. A £10.00 administration charge is applicable under The National Conditions Of Carriage. Because of the discounts applied to Annual Season Tickets they have no refund value after approximately 10 months.
There must be at least seven days remaining on a monthly or longer Season Ticket, or at least three days remaining on a 7-Day Season Ticket to obtain a refund (although on some 7-Day Season Tickets there may be no refund value after three days of use, dependent upon the relevant Anytime Day Return price.
In order to obtain a refund you will need to return the educational season ticket to

Please call our Websales team on 0344 811 0150 and they will arrange your refund between 08:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday.
